The Position: The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development and effective management of Global Arts Link, Ipswich's innovative art gallery and museum. The position of Director, Global Arts Link reports to the Community & Cultural Services Manager, Community & Cultural Services Department, Ipswich City Council. The Person Personally, the successful candidate will demonstrate a high degree of initiative, innovation and capacity to work with a team as well as a desire to succeed and achieve performance milestones. The successful candidate will have proven experience in:

Leading a dynamic team to deliver innovative cultural / museum experiences

Audience development and community engagement

Developing and providing curatorial supervision for exhibitions, the City of Ipswich Collection and public programs

Managing substantial budgets including the capacity to generate revenue streams in an arts and cultural environment

Working in partnership with the Government, Community and Corporate Sector in an arts and cultural environment

Strategic planning and development within community, business and/or government sectors

General management experience and commitment to benchmarking and best practise

Tertiary qualifications preferred in the related disciplines Conditions: An attractive remuneration package up to $87 000 will be negotiable for an outstanding candidate to work in this dynamic contract position. This package will include contribution to a generous superannuation scheme.
