Grandville Avenue Arts & Humanities, Inc. (GAAH), a dynamic non-profit organization that operates a Neighborhood Library and an Arts Academy in a diverse, predominantly Hispanic neighborhood of Grand Rapids, MI, seeks an Executive Director. The Executive Director implements GAAH policies; manages the organization's facilities, programs, human resources, and finances; and directs planning, budgeting, development, and operations. He/She is responsible for quality assurance, community relations, marketing, and fundraising. The Executive Director supervises the Directors of the Arts Academy and the Neighborhood Library and reports to the GAAH Board of Directors.
The successful candidate will have a thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and practices of non-profit administration and will demonstrate leadership, initiative, excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, and the ability to supervise others. A bachelor's degree and three years experience in an arts organization or non-profit administration is required; graduate study and fluency in Spanish is preferred.
