The Zimmer Children's Museum is an interactive children's museum designed around the theme of community. It engages children and their families in creative learning opportunities that incorporate core Jewish cultural values and traditions and is a venue for visitors from varied backgrounds to discover shared ideals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Leads school and community group visits through Museum exhibits. Plans hands-on age-appropriate art experiences that focus on Jewish cultural experiences for children and their adult companions. Develops family, holiday and special programs in conjunction with Program and Marketing Coordinator.
Participates with staff in evaluating programming to ensure maximum audience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Require BA or higher in Early Childhood Education, Art Education or related field. Must have knowledge of Jewish culture and holidays and background in arts and the ability to use creative arts as an educational tool. Classroom or informal education desired. Require high level of creativity and passion in working with children and families. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, ability to work collegially with staff and volunteers and engage visitors. Computer literate.
Full Time 37.5 hr. - Sunday through Thursday
Salary Range 23,700-30,000 annual including benefits
