The Scottish Arts Council, is seeking to appoint a 'Head of Literature', to implement and communicate the Council’s strategy for literature in Scotland. Experienced at a senior management level, you will have proven skills in managing and motivating staff. An excellent communicator, with strong negotiation and advocacy skills, you will be responsible for effective liaison with arts organisations and local authorities. As 'Head of Literature' you will participate in cross-council policy development and will be responsible for managing the Literature Department budget. You will have a detailed knowledge of contemporary Scottish Literature as well as substantial awareness of wider developments in literature elsewhere in the UK and internationally.
