Part-time 30-35 (+ -) hours per week Pro Arts founded in 1974 and located in the beautiful San Francisco Bay Area, seeks qualified candidates for the position of executive director to manage a small staff of 3, develop and implement curated programming, providing new leadership and vision for the growth of the organization. ProArts supports, promotes and advocates for the visual arts and artists from the diverse cultures and communities of the East Bay. The position involves fostering community alliances, working closely with the Board of Directors and representing Pro Arts on a local, regional, and international level. We are seeking an individual with strong leadership and organizational skills and the ability to respond creatively to a diverse membership of artists and patrons. Candidates must possess strong budgeting, financial management, fundraising and membership development skills and have a proven track record of successful grant writing. ProArts gallery is located downtown, in the heart of beautiful Old Oakland. It serves as a hub for the East Bay's visual arts community. Programming includes curated and juried exhibitions and the annual artists East Bay Open Studios. Masters degree in the arts and/or business management or equivalent experience and ability to work with a diverse culture of artists and stakeholders highly desired.
