Residency Opportunity - Australia Japan Arts Network

Asialink Centre,
15 November 2002, Japan

Applications are invited for an exciting opportunity for a manager, producer or promoter to work with a performing arts promotion company in Tokyo. Conversation and Co works with some of the world’s major performing arts companies touring to Japan. The Australia Japan Arts Network aims to develop networks between senior arts managers and organisations in Australia and Japan. The residency would be for three months commencing before June 2003. The resident would work as part of a team, planning and promoting international and Japanese performing arts projects during the busy summer season. The Australia-Japan Arts Network is an initiative of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade to develop a network between high-level arts managers and their organisations in Australia and their counterparts in Japan. AJAN aims to increase Australian arts managers' knowledge of the systems and environments their Japanese counterparts work within, and develop individual and organisational contacts in Japan that they can develop and nurture over time.
