These exciting new posts are key to the success of the Arts and Events Team and the Theatre which is currently under construction. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and currently have experience of community and neighbourhood arts based projects. The Arts are key in addressing the Councils key objectives and we are seeking a motivated individual who will assist strategically in preparing and reviewing the Arts and Events Service Plan and also input into the delivery of the Cultural Strategy. Key emphasis of these posts is the efficient and effective delivery of: · Youth Arts · Community based Arts Projects · Children Youth Partnership Programme · New Opportunities Fund Initiatives · Youth Theatre · Community Grants Scheme · Small Events and Festivals The Arts is entering an exciting phase of development in Newport and the Council is committed to ensuring access to the Arts is available for the whole community.
