Community Research Officer

The successful candidate will be required to undertake and coordinate original research into the history of Black individuals and communities from the 16th century to the present day, liaise with Black community organisations and Northamptonshire Record Office to map, record and document community archives, work in conjunction with the Oral History Officer to collect and preserve individual and community records/ material/testimonies. Applicants need to possess: - Experience of working with Black community groups - Experience of historical research - Experience of managing staff/ volunteers and budgets - Excellent communication skills The project is based in Northampton but has a countywide remit.
