The Singapore National Arts Council (NAC) is presenting an 'Arts City Treasure Hunt', aimed at inspiring the public to greater realms of creativity, innovation and appreciation of the arts. Forming part of its goal to make the arts more accessible and to develop a broader audience, the NAC says the year-long Hunt aims to inject more fun and excitement into the appreciation of numerous public art works and arts venues across Singapore. 'We have over 4,000 arts events held in Singapore every year, many significant and outstanding works of art and arts facilities around us, all of which the public can enjoy for free,' commented Susan Loh, Director, Corporate Communications and Marketing, NAC. The Treasure Hunt will see participants given a brochure containing clues regarding art works and venues across the city, with questions to be answered at each stop. The NAC will award five prizes a month from the correct entries received. The Arts City Treasure Hunt will begin of December 1, 2002 and conclude on December 31, 2003.
