CREATIVE PARTNERSHIPS is a major national cultural education initiatve which is designed to create new and sustainable ways of including young people in the cultural life of their communities, nurturing their innate creativity and suppporting teachers, artists, cultural and creative organisations and individuals to work with them. This is a pioneering £40 million,two-year initiative which will be developed across England and will be delivered through close partnership working. In Merseyside, Creative Partnerships is working with 25 dynamic schools and is seeking to appoint two exceptional Programme Co-ordinators to become part of a highly motivated and creative team. We are looking for two individuals with different but complementary skills and experiences. Both will be expected to be flexible, organised team players with excellent verbal, written and IT skills supported by an analytical mind and 'can-do ' attitude. Post 1 Principally working with the Creative Sector Ref:CP/01 You will have had significant experience of working with arts, cultural and creative organisations and individuals. This experience will be supported by a coherent understanding of current educational issues, developments and practices. Interview date: 9th December 2002 Post 2 Principally working with the Education Sector Ref:CP/02 You will have had significant experience of working with schools, teachers and local authorities. This experience will be supported by a coherent understanding of the potential for the arts, cultural and creative sector to engage with schools to develop a creative curriculum.
