Welsh Language Theatre board members announced

The Arts Council of Wales (ACW) has announced seven new board members to be appointed to Theatre Genedlaethol Cymru, the Welsh Language Theatre.
The announcement follows the appointment of Chairman Lyn T Jones earlier this month.
The newly appointed board members are:
Gareth Miles from Pontypridd, playwright
Carys Tudor Williams from Wrexham, specialist in drama education and Chair of the Drama Committee of the National Eisteddfod
Peter Davies from Cardiff, Head of Drama at Rhydfelin
Linda Brown from Bethesda, administrator of Cwmni Theatr Bara Caws
Garry Nicholas from Llanelli, deputy head of Ysgol Gyfun y Strade
Gwyneth Glyn Evans from Pwllheli, playwright
Wynford Ellis Owen from Cardiff, actor and writer
Sandra Wynne, ACW Senior Arts Development Officer (Drama) commented: ‘The standard of applications was very high, and we are delighted to have been able to appoint these experienced individuals.’
Wynne said the arts council is still looking to appoint up to five more board members, with a particular interest in applications from individuals with expertise in the marketing, business and legal fields.
The new positions will be advertised in the new year.
