Louisville, Ky., is an active, process-oriented art center offering changing exhibits, special events, over 400 classes per year, art scholarships, and community outreach. With three exhibition spaces, the Artopia studio center, a historic rental property, and a downtown commercial gallery, LVAA attracts 150,000 annually with a budget of $1,320,000. The CEO/executive director will serve as a key community leader and promote the LVAA locally and nationally. Leading a staff of 18 full-time employees, the CEO provides strategic direction, budget control, inspires teamwork, and fund-raising efforts. Candidates will possess extensive knowledge of art center/museum practices/standards, appropriate upper management experience, and degrees.
