The Arts and Culture Network Program (ACNP) has announced three new funding schemes for 2003 focussed on Central and Eastern Europe. To be granted to selected organisations or individuals, the schemes will cover key areas in the Arts and Culture Network Program and come under the titles of: Capacity Building; Mobility Fund for Central Asia, Caucasus and Mongolia and Looking Inside. The primary goal of the Capacity Building program is to strengthen the capacity of regional institutions in Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Caucasus and Mongolia. In order to achieve this aim, substantial grants will be made to selected institutions working in the fields of arts management, policy research and art for social change. Aimed at individuals working within the field of arts management and cultural development, the Mobility Fund aims to reinforce cultural dialogue and co-operation both with and within Central Asia, Caucasus and Mongolia. Granted individuals will be expected to contribute their knowledge and experience in the area of cultural development, during a visit with a host organisation in the region. Following the same vein, the Looking Inside program aims to provide a series of placements within well-established cultural institutions in the region for arts managers and cultural administrators. The program aims to increase the mobility of cultural and arts practitioners, to encourage the exchange of practices and to invest in cultural professionals from Central and Eastern Europe, Central Asia, the Caucasus and Mongolia.
