The Arts Council of Ireland has announced the resignation of Sinead Mac Aodha from her position as Literature and Irish Language Arts Officer. After holding the position for seven and a half years, Mac Aodha will leave the Arts Council to take up the post of Director of the Ireland Literature Exchange. As a result of its revised staffing structure, the council will now look for a literature specialist to act as strategic advisor in matters of literature policy and implementation. The council also wishes to retain a dance specialist, following the movement of Gaye Tanham from the role of Dance and Opera Officer into the area of Youth Arts.
