French Culture Minister Jean-Jacques Aillagon has launched a new publicly-judged prize for architecture in the country’s North West. The prize is aimed at generating an increased public interest in architecture and enabling the public to discover the architectural identity of particular regions. On a region-by region basis the public is invited to select the architectural examples that best illustrate the criteria in each of the competition categories. While the prize is currently restricted to the North West, it is expected to extend to the rest of France within the next two months. CLICK HERE for more information (in French).
