The New York Foundation for the Arts has announced that non-profit arts funder Creative Capital will not be funding new artists this year. Instead, Creative Capital has marked 2003 as a ‘Promotion Year’ in which to further support the projects that received Creative Capital grants during the period 1999-2002. Creative Capital President, Ruby Learner, said the organisation was currently reviewing its application procedures and expected to have a schedule in place shortly. ‘We anticipate our next deadline for applications in the Visual Arts and in Film/Video will be late this year or early in 2004,’ Learner said. Performing arts and Emerging Fields will be funded the following year. For more information, visit the New York Foundation for the Arts HERE.
