Effective, charismatic leader needed to serve as Executive and Creative Director of award-winning Queens-based NYC arts institution in landmark facility, with budget of $1.5M, staff of 17, 80 volunteers and active board of directors. This seasoned arts generalist must have experience and sensitivity in serving the needs of artists and arts organizations of diverse backgrounds through strategic alliances with NY cultural institutions, businesses, governmental agencies and local community organizations. Candidate must have creative programming ability in visual and performing arts, proven fund-raising capability with contacts in cultural and educational foundations, and outstanding managerial and communication skills. Other responsibilities include marketing, including cultural tourism, and working with board of directors to implement a strategic plan and capital expansion. Bachelor’s degree in arts administration, music, fine arts, or related area, master’s preferred, with minimum of five year’s top management experience in comparably -sized organization.
