The Malaysian Ministry of Culture Arts and Tourism has called for further financial support, in light of its contribution to the country’s economy over recent years. According to the ministry, the sector contributed an estimated RM671 billion to the national economy in the last financial year, and it is believed that there is still further room for growth. A statement from the ministry called on the Malaysian Government to contribute further funds ‘so that the industry will be able to scale greater heights to the immediate benefit of the country, the hospitality industry and the people.’ For more information about the Malaysian Ministry of Culture, Arts and Tourism, CLICK HERE
