The Museum of Modern Art seeks a full-time, permanent Production Manager within its Exhibition Design and Production department. This is a management level position with a dual responsibility: assist members of the curatorial staff on the design and planning of specific exhibitions and manage all production work related to the on-site construction and installation of the exhibition. The applicant must have demonstrated experience as an exhibition designer or interior designer and as a construction or project manager in a museum or related facility. The applicant must be exceptionally well-organized and with a sure sense of detail; must be able to make and maintain rigorous schedules and budgets, yet be flexible enough to alter them as the demands of a project change. Working knowledge of AutoCad 2002 is essential. Preference will be given to applicants with experience in architectural or exhibition lighting; a knowledge of contemporary art; and hands-on experience within the building trades. Salary: We offer a salary in the low 50k's with excellent benefits.
