Northern Ireland Parliamentary Under-Secretary of the State, Angela Smith MP, recently announced the appointment of Rosemary Kelly as Chairperson to the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. The appointment will be effective for four years. In addition, 14 arts council committee members were announced for a four year post, effective as of July 1. Welcoming the new Council, Smith said: ‘I am delighted to announce these appointments and look forward to working closely with the Council in the future as it seeks to develop the Arts in Northern Ireland.’ The Minister also took the opportunity to thank the outgoing Chairperson, Brian Walker, and outgoing members for their dedication to the work of the Council during their terms in office.
