Dance Officer Salary up to £30k dependent upon experience plus a range of benefits including a lease car and a final salary pension scheme. For this position, you will contribute to the development and delivery of our regional plans for Dance and Visual Arts, including Arts and New Technology, as appropriate. You will have a minimum of 2 years relevant experience of managing a portfolio of clients and partnerships that have created new resources and opportunities for the arts. Further, you will have a strong track record in project management, be a confident communicator with negotiation skills of a high order. This post's major pieces of work include: * The Eastern Region will host the high profile British Dance Edition in 2004 providing a showcase of the best work in the country. The national profile of this event will benefit the whole region in coming years * Leading a major project to build a new home for Dance East in Ipswich. This centre of excellence for dance at national and international level will attract a new dance company to the region and impact on regeneration agendas as a result of the leadership and partnershipping skills the successful candidate will bring to the post * To exploit the growing reputation for Dance and New Technology in the region and sustain delivery at a national level. To ensure that Essex Dance achieve a new base and consolidate a growing reputation in this cutting edge area of contemporary dance.
