The Arts Council of Ireland has announced a series of improvements in its grant application process for 2004. Following the introduction of new staff structures earlier this year, the staff department will be responsible for funding relationships with approximately 500 arts organisations that receive recurring grants from the Council. Applications for funding will from now on be solicited using newly-customised application forms, either on paper or online, and the Council will set a budget which is fully informed by the known level of demand from the sector.
