Creative Partnerships works to give school children in disadvantaged areas throughout England the opportunity to develop their potential, their ambition, their creativity and imagination through sustainable partnerships with creative and cultural organisations, businesses and individuals. The post has been established to assist the hub team, together with the regionally based Creative Directors, to realise the potential of the programme to impact on teaching and learning in schools. The position reports to the National Director of Creative Partnerships and is based at the Creative Partnerships Head Office in London. Regional travel will be required. The Role: • To liaise with the National and Regional Directors of Creative Partnerships on educational strategy and to provide a source of expertise on pedagogy and learning within Creative Partnerships. •To advise on operational linkages between local Creative Partnerships projects and educational policy. • To progress the creativity debate and disseminate emerging knowledge from Creative Partnerships regarding creative teaching and learning. •To aid the creation of long term, sustainable networks between cultural,educational and other appropriate partners. •To advise on, and oversee specific programmes such as the delivery of the Continuing Professional Development programme for teachers and AST ’s involved in Creative Partnerships. The Successful Candidate must have: •Experience of leading a high profile local and/or national initiative. • Accomplished management experience at a senior level either within a school, LEA or educational organisation (eg.EAZ/EiC). • Experience of brokering and developing partnerships with a variety of sectors. • Experience in generating and implementing policies and procedures. •Managerial and leadership experience with the ability to think strategically,and analytically to identify, evaluate and solve complex problems in an innovative, yet practical way.
