Quebec’s Minister for Culture and Communication, Line Beauchamp, and France’s Minister for Culture and Communication, Jean-Jacques Aillagon, have signed an agreement concerning cultural heritage. The agreement aims to reinforce cooperation between the two ministers concerning understanding, valuation, commemoration and sharing of experience in the domains of heritage, common memorials, archives and museology. This agreement constitutes a supplementary step in the process of the valuation of their common heritage. The agreement also supports the cultural cooperation between the French and Quebec governments since 1965, which over the years has helped develop a greater reciprocal understanding of each of their cultures, art and science.
