More than US$13 million for Benin cultural infrastructure

After delivering big budgetary wins, Benin Minister for Culture, Craftsmanship and Tourism, Frédéric Dohou, has outlined to government deputies his vision for cultural growth in Benin.
Budgetary provisions encompass 41 regional projects, including formal offices for the Department of Culture, Craftsmanship and Tourism, the creation of a tourism development zone, renovation of existing infrastructure and the development of eco-tourism.
The total cost of the 2004 budget reaches more than US$13 million, near double the budget of 2003.
