Chile campaigns for cultural diversity

20 November 2003, Chile

The Chilean Council for Arts and Culture, UNESCO, the Orígenes program and the National Television Council have developed plans to help stimulate cultural diversity in Chile. These strategies (involving awareness workshops, forums and the creation of a work network) directly address issues of social exclusion and are designed to assist in the establishment of new cultural models for diversity. The action plan began with a national day to celebrate education and cultural diversity, held on November 19. The Minister for Culture, regional heads, other authorities and academics were active participants. For further information in Spanish, CLICK HERE.
