Arts in Schools Directory 2004

The Arts Council of Ireland has launched its Arts in Schools Directory for 2004, a free directory containing contact details and information about 163 Arts Council funded organisations and 10 national cultural institutions with arts in schools programmes.
The publication aims to support and promote collaborations between artists, arts organisations and schools.
Speaking about the publication Arts in Schools 2004, Mary Cloake, Acting Director at the Arts Council said: 'The directory provides information about organisations that offer arts in schools programmes. The aim of the directory is to address the information gap between the arts and education communities regarding the work in schools of arts organisations'.
Entries are up on last year’s publication - with an additional 40 arts organisations now included - who are working in schools - reflecting both the increase in arts in schools activity and its changing nature.
Arts in Schools 2004 is available free of charge from the Arts Council.
