The first Asia Pacific Journal of Arts and Cultural Management has been unveiled by by the Arts and Cultural Management Program at the University of South Australia’s International Graduate School of Management. The new e-journal is the first of its kind to specifically address arts and cultural management issues and other issues relevant to the arts in the Asia Pacific region The first edition is free to access. There will be three editions per annum available by subscription on line. The journal is edited by Associate Professor Jo Caust of the UniSA International Graduate School of Management and th first edition contains five papers addressing various topics including, the development of cultural policy in Singapore, copyright issues for Australian indigenous artists, entrepreneurial strategies for performing arts organisations in New Zealand, observations about the management of the last Pacific Arts Festival and the development of cultural management education programs in Vietnam. The intent of the Journal is to provide quality research outcomes for the arts industry thereby encouraging the development of best practice in the management of culture and the arts. The Journal will draw primarily but not exclusively from the Asia Pacific region and will cover all arts management disciplines pertinent to the arts industry including strategic management, marketing, accounting, finance, organisational behavior, human resources as well as cultural policy. The journal has both a refereed and an industry section.
