Portal of Culture of Latin America and Caribbean - New Online Resource

UNESCO announces the launch of it's online Portal of Culture of Latin America and Caribbean at www.lacult.org . The new website will offer news, information, projects and actions, as well as data and references on cultural policies through the Forum of Ministers. The Portal is an open door towards the wealth and cultural values of the peoples and ancient civilizations of the region. This will allow a continuous tour through its cultural heritage, discovering the most representative aspects of its creativity and art of the region, including that of indigenous peoples. Future users will be able to utilise the following services: - Forum of Discussion: a space devoted to the exchange and reflection on the main contemporary cultural problems - Directory of Institutions: containing the main cultural centers and institutions, with references on their location - Cultural Agenda: a program of the most important cultural activities in the Continent. Other sections include: News, Member Countries, Cultural Policies, Cultural Diversity, Intercultural Dialogue, Creativity and Arts.
