Festivals and Events: Programme Manager

The Arts Council of Ireland is seeking a Programme Manager to oversee their dynamic Festivals and Events division. The number of arts festivals has grown dramatically in recent years in response to their public popularity and to higher levels of local and central government supports. In 2004, the Council committed almost €5.2m in funding to arts festivals and events, most of it in annual revenue funding. The Arts Council is seeking a motivated and capable person to fill the position of Festivals and Events: Programme Manager. The role involves acting as the primary point of contact between the Council and arts festivals and events, including managing all aspects of funding relationships. The position is one of four programme managers reporting to the Arts Programme Director, working within a team of staff and specialists in contributing advice and knowledge to the Council on the funding needs and other supports required to sustain and develop arts festivals in Ireland. The successful candidate will have a working knowledge of arts festivals and the ability and commitment to apply that knowledge to the work of the Arts Council.
