The Art of Inclusion: A report on the social inclusion strand of the New Audiences Programme. In January 2001, Arts Council England commissioned independent consultant Helen Jermyn to research social inclusion work in the arts. This was part of a wider social inclusion research program aiming to gather evidence that could be used to inform policy and advocacy initiatives, to test the appropriateness of different evaluation methods, and to identify and measure the characteristics of successful initiatives.
