Cultural tourism on the table for Angola

IFACCA/Artshub,
23 July 2004, Angola

The Angolan Ministry of Culture has partnered with the Departments of Hotel Business, Tourism, Town Planning and Environment, to organise a seminar on cultural tourism for the nation. The seminar opens this Friday in Luanda and is devoted to the formulation of action plans for joint projects in these sectors. Attendees at the two day forum will explore the potential of Angola as a cultural hub in order to develop strategies for a sustainable cultural tourism industry. They will also discuss other topics relating to heritage and the cultural landscape, including the renovation of historic buildings. These issues will be debated within the context of business and the economy – with hopes that a unified map for cultural tourism will emerge from proceedings.
