The consultation document "The Performing Arts in Wales - complementing the work of WMC" is now available on The Arts Council of Wales website. The document sets out the case for distributing the extra £2m Welsh Assembly Government funding on arts organisations outside Cardiff. The funding will enable people across Wales to gain enhanced access to high quality performing arts which reflect the scale and ambition of the programmes offered at WMC. It is proposed that funding be distributed between existing venues, provisions to increase the number and quality of productions and providing greater cross-border touring.
