This report presents the findings of a study of attendance, participation and attitudes to the arts in England. The study, the fourth in a series commissioned by Arts Council England, was carried out by the Office for National Statistics (ONS) between September 2003 and January 2004. Its authors were: Clare Fenn, Ann Bridgwood, Karen Dust, Lucy Hutton, Michelle Jobson and Megan Skinner.
