Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, Minister of culture and communication, has announced the signing of a partnership agreement between France Televisions and The Syndicate of French Animation Professionals that will stand for 'several years.' The new partnership agreement continues the line of commitment entered into by the Minister, during the last animation festival at Annecy, to ensure that French free-to-air television allocates greater time-slots to animation programs. The Minister predicts that this agreement will stimulate the production of animation that will in turn and stimulate greater investment in this sector. This agreement follows a commitment signed last autumn by The France Televisions Group to broadcast more documentary films on the French free-to-air TV channels. Supporters have said these two agreements illustrate the necessity for diversity in programming which is to be broadcast on free-to-air TV in France. For further information, CLICK HERE
