Arts Council England are seeking a Director of Finance and Operations to occupy a leading role in both the strategic direction and management of its London office. Areas of responsbility include: management of grant monitoring, internal audit and budgetary control and monitoring, human resources, IT strategy and systems implementation, health and safety, premises management and internal communications. The incumbent will be a qualified accountant, have knowledge of Charity accounting (SORP), corporate governance requirements, an understanding of the regional infrastructure and of arts development issues (both regionally and nationally), be an experienced manager of people and have a successful track record in Finance and Operations at a senior level. They will also have highly developed communication and negotiation skills and the ability to give their best under pressure and against tight deadlines. The role is based in Clerkenwell - London.
