Seychelles Minister for Local Government, Sport and Culture, Sylvette Pool, has launched a Cultural Policy for the Republic of Seychelles. Unveiled on the 1st April, 2005 the new policy, comprises three principal documents:

Document 1: The cultural Policy of the Republic of Seychelles, defining the main elements for the development of the arts and culture, the objectives of education and training in the arts, and participation of the public.

Document 2: Institutional Framework which maps out the structure and organisation of the Department of culture and defines the Departmental mission statement.
