The Arts Council of Wales has released a new publication entitled The Arts Work: Facts and Figures 2005, which highlights the significant role played by the arts in the social and economic life of Wales. The Arts Work uses case studies and a wide range of facts to illustrate the range of benefits offered through the arts, such as job creation, long-term employment, health and wellbeing, cultural identity, community regeneration, economic growth, and a positive national image at home and abroad. 'In these pages we have gathered headline evidence of the way in which the arts touch our lives,' said Arts Council Wales Chairman, Geraint Talfan Davies. 'The Arts Work is a key tool for advocating the intrinsic worth of the arts in Wales.' To access a free copy of The Arts Work online, CLICK HERE.
