The Lebanese Association for the Development of Cultural Funding has published a directory of the cultural institutions in Lebanon. In this first of its kind publication, around 700 cultural institutions are indexed and classified under 12 sections: Heritage | Visual Arts | Audiovidual | Performing Arts | Festivals | Books and publishing | Cultural Centers | Universities | Cultural Funding | Public Sector | International Organizations | Halls and venues. President of the Lebanese Association for Cultural Development, Shadi Karam, said: "This Directory allows corporate sponsors to better know the cultural world they collaborate with and the development in which they take an active part. "Moreover, the directory facilitates the contacts between cultural entities in Lebanon...it is an efficient tool for all those, whether in Lebanon or abroad, who wish to know or to contact different players of the cultural scene in Lebanon."
