The School of the Arts at City University, London, is expanding its research, consultancy and teaching of leadership in cultural and creative organisations to appoint a Research Fellow in Regeneration through Arts and Culture. The post is fixed term for 18 months (with the possibility to extend to 2 years), and is salaried at £24,023 - £31,511. The School is leading a major EU project. Its focus is on the development and evaluation of interventions that enhance the potential of community festivals to generate greater economic and social benefits amongst disadvantaged groups. The research will focus on two well established community celebrations: Carnaval del Pueblo in South London and the Brick Lane Festival in East London. Applications are invited from well qualified candidates preferably with expertise in qualitative and quantitative research in multi-cultural communities. Closing date for applications is 14th November, 2005. Interviews will be held week beginning 21st November, 2005.
