Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, French Minister of Culture and Communication, recently went to Hungary for a conference dedicated to culture and European integration. Many European ministers for culture, intellectuals and artists attended the event, organised by the Ministry for Hungarian Cultural Heritage. De Vabres also presented a knight’s seal for Arts and Humanities to three Hungarians: Anna Lakos, translator and playwright; Gabor Zsambeki, director, president of the union of European theatres; Lazslo Beke, director of the Institute of Research in the history of art and commissioner of exhibitions. De Vabres met with the Hungarian Minister for Cultural Heritage, Andras Bozoki, to discuss studying the ways of reinforcing the cultural cooperation between the two countries.
