New Zealand's Book Council is offering 'Booked Out', a series of new events in Auckland, which will allow readers to meet authors. Eight events ranging from a panel discussion of food writers, to readings by visiting international writers, are organised for February until June this year. New Zealand Book Council Chief Executive, Karen Ross says, "We have a richness of writing talent as well as a hungry readership who are keen to put a face to their favourite book and discover new authors. While we have been delivering events to book lovers nationally for some years, there is a strong demand in Auckland and we felt a more concentrated effort was needed in this region. This prompted us to create Booked Out. We are extremely excited about the programme and look forward to launching it in February." For more information, CLICK HERE.
