New Zealand's Book Council is offering 'Booked Out', a series of new events in Auckland, which will allow readers to meet authors. Eight events ranging from a panel discussion of food writers, to readings by visiting international writers, are organised for February until June this year. New Zealand Book Council Chief Executive, Karen Ross says, "We have a richness of writing talent as well as a hungry readership who are keen to put a face to their favourite book and discover new authors. While we have been delivering events to book lovers nationally for some years, there is a strong demand in Auckland and we felt a more concentrated effort was needed in this region.
