Arts Victoria is a division of the Department of Premier and Cabinet and is responsible for the implementation of the State Government’s arts policy Creative Capacity+. Arts Victoria provides a range of programs which are designed to assist in the development and presentation of cultural projects, programs and services which benefit the Victorian arts industry and the community. The Senior Program Manager - Festivals is responsible for contract managing a portfolio of non-Government organisations including the recurrently funded festivals. The role involves evaluating funding requests and developing initiatives that support the strategic development of key Victorian festivals, providing strategic advice to senior management, identifying and implementing improvements to relevant policies, programs and activities and preparing complex ministerial briefings, reports and recommendations. The successful candidate will have exceptional communications skills, high level computer and administration skills and extensive management experience that will assist in working in an environment characterised by change, conflicting priorities and sensitivities.
