The Minister of Culture for Spain, Carmen Calvo, and Renaud Donnedieu de Vabres, Minister of Culture and Communication for France, have joined together in a program on the Spanish civil war and its consequences. The agreement outlines a joint program to identify, reproduce and distribute documents relating to the Spanish civil war, the deportation of Spanish citizens, exile and the resistance. In its History Project Centre, the Ministry of Culture tries to collect all possible information relative to the civil war and its consequences, Francoism, exile and deportation. France will act as an associate of Spain participating in a scientific committee for the selection of archive funds, facilitating the reproduction of documents of interest for the project, elaborating a guide of French resources for the period in question, and proposing activities for cultural and scientific circulation of these archives.
