Recently UNESCO held an inter-agency working group meeting in order to finalise the data reports on Asian culture. The data included employment and social impacts for the Data Model for Asian Culture Industry Statistics. The framework was endorsed by the Inter-agency Senior Expert Symposium that was convened in February 2005 in Jodhpur, India. The workshop focused on the progress of international initiatives in data collection for cultural industries, trends in international experience, information sources for social impacts, 'gross national happiness', and mapping the cultural capital.
