Premier Sbu Ndebele of South Africa has revealed plans to establish exhibitions and a new multimedia centre in his new budget. Three exhibitions will take place to commemorate the 1906 Bhambatha Rebellion, with R295 million being spent on the events and projects. A multimedia centre will be created from R60 million of the funds in Mgungundlovu (Pietermaritzburg) to honour King Dingane. "This state of the art facility will showcase four centuries of Zulu history but at the same will serve as a place of reconciliation," said Ndebele. It is hoped the initiatives will contribute to local tourism, which provides R20 billion to the province annually, with roughly 300 000 new jobs. For more information, CLICK HERE.
