The Danish Arts Council has commissioned a review into its arts education in folkeskole, the Danish municipal primary and lower secondary school. The report of the review is now available and offers an assessment of the current arts education, as well as providing some recommendations. Some of the recommendations include: more training for arts teachers, that a higher arts education degree be available to further train teachers, that a national committee be established for the development and maintenance of arts education research, and that benchmark standards be created for arts education.
