The Prime Minister of Pakistan has announced that the Ministry of Culture and Sports will be separated into two ministries as of April 2006. The Ministry of Culture and Sports will be divided into the Ministry of Culture, and the Ministry of Sport. Following the separation, two ministers will be allocated the individual portfolios.
