Mawa3eed is a program for supporting cultural and artistic exchange in the Arab region. Cultural Resource accepts applications submitted by individuals, NGOs, private or governmental organizations from all Arab countries. Requested funds must be allocated for covering travel expenses of artistic and cultural works, or artists and writers participating in cultural events within the Arab region. The program aims at encouraging and supporting the circulation of creative works within the Arab region by partially financing travel expenses of artists and writers and their work. Requirements 1. At least two organizations or individuals from two different Arab countries should participate in submitting the application. 2. The funds requested should not exceed $4000 or the equivalent in Arab currencies. 3. The date of the tour or trip should be within the period 1 July and 31 December 2006. 4. The application should include a detailed description of the traveling artistic or literary work or a detailed résumé in the case of individual artists or writers. 5. The application should include a detailed description of the event in which the applicant wants to participate, in the case of participation in festivals, conferences, seminars, or a detailed description of the venue where the literary or artistic work will be exhibited or presented. 6. The application should include a detailed budget for the trip showing the contributions of all parties, and mentioning the means of travel, number of travelers, and the expenses in detail.
