Arts Council Ireland Looking for Consultants

Ireland’s Arts Council is looking to employ part time consultants across a range of art policy areas for terms of up to three years. Divided into seven “art form” teams – Dance, Film, Literature (in English), Literature (in Irish), Opera, Theatre and Traditional Arts – the consultants will provide “expert, topical and accurate intelligence about the arts in Ireland”, and play a role in policy implementation. The application deadline is Monday, 29 January 2007 at 12:30pm. Applicants need to demonstrate: * at least five years’ experience working at a senior level within their art form area in Ireland or overseas; * a third level, and ideally a post-graduate, qualification in a relevant discipline; * a developed knowledge and understanding of the aesthetic and artistic environments within their art form area, nationally and internationally; * a developed knowledge and understanding of the public policy, and commercial operating conditions within their art form area, nationally and internationally; * expert consulting skills including advanced analytical, communications (written and verbal), and influencing skills; * demonstrable consultancy management and time management skills; * personal and professional qualities of integrity, discipline and confidence.
